Getting to the AIA
- By Subway: The closest Metro
stop is Farragut West on the Blue/Orange Line. Exit the Metro on the 17th or 18th street side, and walk south 4.5 blocks (cross I and H Streets, Pennsylvania Avenue, and G and F Streets).
- By Car: Visit the AIA site for directions and parking information.
Getting Around DC
The Metro website offers
bus and train schedules, and a trip planner. Taxis are also generally
easy to flag in downtown DC.
Hotels
Nearby hotels (all located within walking distance) include The George
Washington University Inn, One Washington Circle Hotel, Hotel Lombardy,
State Plaza Hotel, and the Washington Suites Hotel. Capitol Reservations offers discounted rates for hotels throughout the city.
Meals
Continental breakfast will be provided from 8-9am. Snacks for the two
coffee breaks are included. There are many restaurant choices for lunch
nearby; a list of local restaurants and addresses will be provided at
the workshop.
